Happiness...
Lol, the last week has been the perhaps most stressful week of my life, and also the happiest... :-3 But that's private, so no more about that. ;-)
I don't really have anything specific I want to write about, but I've found several verses in the Psalms that I've found helpful and comforting for various reasons, and I'd like to post them here...

Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart's desires.
Psalm 37:4

The steps of the godly are directed by the Lord.
He delights in every detail of their lives.
Though they stumble, they will not fall,
for the Lord holds them by the hand.
Psalm 37:23-24

Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
Psalm 37:5

Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who trust in him!
Psalm 34:8

The Lord says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you."
Psalm 32:8

How precious is your unfailing love, O God!
All humanity fiends shelter in the shadow of your wings.
Psalm 36:7

Spring!!

Lol, since the beginning of spring the weather here's went from absolutely gorgeous to very heavy snow, twice... Isn't it wonderful that God doesn't give a hoot about which time of year we happen to be in? ;-) Isn't it also wonderful that no matter where we come from, what we've done or who we are, He still loves us? Always!

I know the Lord is always with me.
I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

Psalm 16:8

But I trust in your unfailing love.
I will rejoice because you have rescued me.
I will sing to the Lord
because he has been so good to me.

Psalm 13:5-6

What's holding us back?
On Saturday evening I was at the Get Ready Night, a youth service, and I don't know exactly where this came from, but suddenly the thought just came: The future is open. I never really understood what it meant to "live in the past", but I think it means that you let your past rule over your future. You let your past rule... You allow it... It doesn't have to... The future is 100% open! You are free! God has forgiven your sins (or will if you ask Him), you can't change the past anyway; all that matters is what you do next.
The man who preached that night quoted a verse, and I'm not exactly sure, but I think it was 2 Corinthians 5:15...

He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live to please themselves. Instead, they will live to please Christ, who died and was raised for them.

In other words: Jesus didn't die so that we could live however we wanted to, He died so we would live for Him... And you don't need to do a bible school first, or get married, or save money, or go to another country; all you have to do is ask Him what He wants you to do, and then do it. It's that simple.
